01 / FIRE & SMOKE MANAGEMENT

Formulated around
fire performance.

Functional additives for flame-retardant cable and polymer formulations, with a focus on LSZH and HFFR cable compounds.

A system-level decision.

Different flame-retardant systems call for different chemistries. Select the additive around the polymer, processing conditions and the role it needs to play.

ATH and MDH serve halogen-free formulation routes. Antimony trioxide has a different role as a synergist in halogen-containing systems such as PVC. The additive package must be considered together with the polymer and the finished cable requirements.

MATERIALS & FUNCTIONS

Explore the role within the formulation.

Aluminium Trihydrate (ATH)

A mineral flame retardant for halogen-free polymer systems, including HFFR and LSZH cable compounds.

Halogen-free cable compounds

Magnesium Hydroxide (MDH)

A mineral flame retardant used in halogen-free cable and polymer formulations. Selection depends on the polymer system and processing conditions.

Halogen-free cable compounds

Zinc Borate

A smoke suppressant and synergistic additive used as part of a broader flame-retardant formulation.

Cable and polymer formulations

Antimony Trioxide

A synergist for halogen-containing flame-retardant systems, including PVC cable compounds.
